Forza Week in Review
In this week’s edition of the Forza Week in Review, we set the stage for the Forza Racing Championship ChinaJoy Invitational, take a look at this weekend’s #Forzathon events, and get you set up for our #ForzaFriday stream starting later today. Lock it in people, because it’s time to go!
ForzaRC ChinaJoy Invitational
The Forza Racing Championship ChinaJoy Invitational: The Chevrolet Cup is coming next week! This event, which coincides with ChinaJoy exhibition on July 28 and 29, marks the first Forza Racing Championship event in China. After two weeks of online qualifying, the top 16 qualifiers will compete on the main stage at the ChinaJoy Xbox booth in Shanghai, racing for the honor of being crowned China’s first ForzaRC event champion.
During the two-day competition, the 16 qualifying players will be divided into two groups. Each group will run two races during the Semi-Finals on July 28. The top four finishers of each group will compete during the Finals on July 29 across two races (see below for details). The overall winner will have a chance to be a part of a future ForzaRC global competition.
This is the first time a ForzaRC event has been held in China and, from the looks of the qualified players, the racing is going to be very competitive. All 16 qualifiers were within the top 100 on the respective overall Rivals event leaderboards. Congratulations go out to the all the qualifiers who will be competing in the event:

For English viewers, we’ll have a rebroadcast of each day’s results via VOD on the official Forza YouTube channel.
#Forzathon – Untamed Performance
It’s time to unleash the beast with our weekend lineup of #Forzathon events. Take a look:
Two Horizon Edition cars are up for grabs this week, the Dodge Viper SRT10 HE and the Jaguar XJ220 HE. The former can be yours just for completing three Playground Game events (you’ll also receive a hefty 120,000 credits as well). As for that Jag, finish three races in a Jaguar and the XJ220 will be yours (along with 95,000 XP). The events end Monday so get in there now to claim your goodies!
AR12 Racing Championship
Looking for more chances to race against your fellow Forza players and win awesome prizes along the way? This week our friends at AR12 Gaming announced their own online racing championship series in Forza Motorsport 6, the AR12 Racing Championship. Produced in partnership with Elgato gaming, this new series kicks off next weekend (July 22) and will continue until mid-September in Forza Motorsport 6. Winners will have a chance to win a track day experience, as well as prizes from Elgato, and more. Sign-ups are available now in the AR12 forums and races will be broadcast on AR12’s Twitch channel beginning with the first round on July 22. Good luck to all the competitors!
We’ve got a new segment we’ve been playing with on our end-of-the-week streaming show, aka #ForzaFriday. The segment is known as “Man Up or Ban Up” and pits two tuners against one another for fabulous prizes or well, let’s just call it “punishment.” Last week came down to a fabulous showdown where our winner Handsome Huber got himself the Horizon Edition car of his choice, while his opponent… was punished.
We’ll be doing it all again today during our #ForzaFriday broadcast, as well as checking out the new #Forzathon events, blasting our way through a new Bucket List Blueprint event created by our own JC and, of course, playing Forza Motorsport 6 with as many of you as possible. The show kicks off on our official Mixer and Twitch channels at 3 p.m. Pacific. See you there!
