Forza Week in Review 5-4-18

The May update for Forza Motorsport 7 is here! Just two weeks after the launch of our April update for FM7, the latest update for FM7 has arrived, bringing with it a crucial fix for Forza painters, and a brand new car. In today’s edition of the Forza Week in Review, we’ll run through the May update, get your geared up for the ForzaRC Round 3 Showdown, talk about the latest news in #Forzathons in both Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Motorsport 7, and celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Forza 7-style. Let’s go!

May Update

Headlining the May update for Forza Motorsport 7 is the launch of the 2018 Honda Civic Type R, Honda’s latest aggressively stylish hot hatch. If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s the Type R in action:

Looks cool, right? I love the compact sporty direction the Type R has been heading, and this thing is a hoot to drive in the game, too. You can find out for yourself for free because the new Civic Type R is available for free to all Forza 7 players. If you’re a Car Pass owner, the car will be added to your garage automatically. For everyone else, you’ll need to purchase the Civic by going to the “Buy Car” screen and purchase it (for free!) from that screen.

In addition to the new car, this update also fixed the livery stealing glitch that was affecting painters, corrected some body-kit issues on a couple of cars, and resolved a pair of crash instances on Xbox One and PC.

Forza Racing Championship – Round 3 Wednesday Showdown

The next chapter in the ForzaRC story is about to be written. The Round 3 qualifiers ended earlier this week and, this coming weekend will see the Saturday and Sunday races going down between the qualifiers. One look at the ForzaRC leaderboard tells you much of what you need to know:

1) We’ve got a new overall global leader in TX3 Lightning. He’s taken the top spot from…
2) His teammate, TX3 HardBR, who has been dominating Latin America, and the world.
3) The Global Top 10 is littered with ForzaRC luminaries like #3 G2 Laige and his current on-track nemesis TPR b0x.
4) Team TX3 occupies 3 of the top 10 slots, as does team JSR, thanks to great results from Rossi, Commando, and Mitch.

After this weekend’s races, we’ll be gearing up for our Round 3 Wednesday Showdown, which will be held on Wednesday, May 9. As always we’ll have two broadcasts, with the first at noon Pacific for our EMEA competitors, and the second at 6 p.m. Pacific for North America. You can follow all of the on track action by heading to See you there, live!

FH3 #Forzathon Update

If you’ve noticed that you’ve been receiving a lot of Forza Horizon 3 #Forzathon achievements and rewards this week, you’re not alone. Due to a configuration error when publishing our latest batch of #Forzathon events, we unintentionally set live a number of FH3 #Forzathon events that were scheduled to be published over the next several months. The current events will expire on 5/11 and we will be publishing a new set of #Forzathon events that will be similar in scope, naming, and rewards, and which will roll out along the originally intended schedule. Have no fear: If you completed any events, you won’t lose your rewards or achievements, and you will still be able to access the new events, rewards, and achievements as they roll out. Sorry for any inconvenience and enjoy the new #Forzathon events!
