Before we dive into this week’s edition of the Week in Review, I wanted to give a special shout to our friends and partners at Playground Games for their BAFTA nominations this week. Forza Horizon 3 is up for two BAFTA awards this year – Best Multiplayer game and for Best British Game. The British Game Awards will be held on April 6 and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that Playground will soon be adding more hardware to their trophy shelf.

Now it’s time to recap another busy week in the world of Forza!

Duracell Car Pack

The new Chevy Camaro ZL1 – one of the cars in this month’s Duracell Car Pack – is perhaps best described as “frightening.” I love the noise it makes nearly as much as the honeycombed grill and the four pipes jutting out the rear end. Put it on the highway between the Redstone Airport and Surfer’s Paradise and you’ll get a sense of what it can do – over 200mph in bone stock form. Install a proper S2-class tune and you’ll find yourself able to get from one end of the highway to the other in roughly the same amount of time it takes to Fast Travel the same length. Or, at least, that’s what it seems like.

Sure, the ZL1 is a standout this month, but there’s six other fun cars to check out in the Duracell Car Pack as well – from the race-bred Volvo 242 Turbo Evolution, to one of the rarest Nissans in history in the 1995 NISMO GT-R LM, as well as a stalwart of “go anywhere” reliability in the Land Rover III Series. And to think the Duracell Car Pack wasn’t the only car content available this week!

TAMO Racemo

India’s first entry in the sports car market made a big splash this week at the Geneva International Auto Show, in the form of the 2017 TAMO Racemo. Alongside the car’s unveiling at the show, the Racemo made its worldwide debut in Forza Horizon 3.

On Tuesday, we gifted out the Racemo to all Forza Horizon 3 players – if you haven’t already done so, check your in-game Message Center under the Gifts tab to grab your car. One look inside the Racemo’s interior and you’ll get a glimpse of all the cool tech they’ve piled into the cockpit (like that triple-screen setup that lives right behind the steering wheel). If you’ve got your Racemo tucked in your garage and you’re looking for a reason to drive it in anger, then check out our new Rivals event – just look for “World Reveal – TAMO Racemo” event which can be found in the Monthly Rivals tab from the pause menu.

Duracell GTA Spano

Last but not least, we’ve got a brand-new GTA Spano available to players, this time with a special Duracell-themed livery. To get it, all you need to do is head to the Xbox Store and search for “Forza Horizon 3 GTA Spano.” Download the car at no additional cost and then restart Forza Horizon 3, and the car will be automatically added to your Forza Horizon 3 garage.

Note that, as of this writing, some players were reporting issues with the Duracell GTA Spano appearing in their Forza Horizon 3 garage, event after following the steps above. The team here at Turn 10 is aware of the issue and is currently investigating the cause and solution. As soon as I have more to report on this, I’ll let the community know.

Retro Cartoon Contest Complete

This year’s Retro Cartoon Livery Contest is now complete and we have a winner! Congratulations go to painter FRDT Pat theCat, who ran away with this year’s competition thanks to his gorgeous Simpsons-themed livery on the 2015 Audi S1. Pat took home a Forza Motorsport/Change Racing race shirt for his top prize. Congrats also go out to DontCallMeBruce and Thawan, who took home second and third place respectively. Check out the RCC thread by series creator and contest organizer SnakeEyes Friex for a look at all the entries in the contest.

#Forzathon – Be Extraordinary

Bentley is at the heart of the most recent #Forzathon lineup in Forza Horizon 3, which kicks off today and ends on Monday. Take a look:

Over in the “Tally Ho!” event, you’ll need to beat a Rival while driving in a Bentley model to grab 3 Wheelspins. While you can also use a Bentley in the “Blimey!” and “Time for Tea” events, you’ve got a little bit more flexibility in your car choice. However, it’s the “Blistering Acceleration” event that I think will be the first stop for most players this weekend. After all, all you need to do is complete a race to take home the 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports. Let’s face it, that’s not a lot of work for a pretty sweet slice of British muscle. So, what are you waiting for?

Heavy Metal Affliction – Chevrolet Berettas

From a recent request for HMA story candidates came this tale of a lifelong appreciation for the Chevy Beretta. Forza fan Skywarp 72 has owned 250 cars and currently owns three of the late 1980s midsize coupes. Jason Shulko, as he is known in the real world, has been racing on oval tracks and road courses in front-wheel-drive Chevy’s most of his life with significant success. This is an edition of HMA that is straight to the heart of what the series is all about.

#ForzaFriday

The #Forzathon events will be front and center for today’s edition of #ForzaFriday, which kicks off on Beam and Twitch at 3 p.m. Pacific. In addition, we’ll be trying out a brand-new Bucket List challenge before hitting another session of multiclass racing in Forza Motorsport 6. Last week we experimented with a new format for qualifying for our weekly Random Ring Race – using features found in our most recent esports update for Forza 6 – and it was such a hit that we’ll be duplicating it again today.

Oh, before I sign off another edition of the Week in Review, here’s the latest (utterly insane) trailer for the new Fast & Furious move, The Fate of the Furious. All I’ll say is you need to see this:
