It's the eve of Thanksgiving here at Turn 10 and the studio is eerily quiet compared to a typical work week evening. As I type this, members of the FM.net forums are racing their Nissan Skylines on Xbox LIVE right now in our mid-week tournament. I'm impressed. For one of the busiest holiday weeks of the year, turn out for this week's tourney has been surprisingly healthy. And because it is Thanksgiving week, there will be no Turn 10 Weekly Pitpass Report this Friday. Awww.
Still, before I move onto the answers for last week's Dyno Spotlight audio quiz, and on behalf of all of us here at Turn 10, I want to wish everyone a safe Thanksgiving and a wonderful long weekend. We thank you for your interest and support in Forza Motorsport over the past year-and-a-half — know that the best is yet to come with this franchise.
Turn 10 Dyno Spotlight: Datsun 240Z Audio Challenge Answers
Surprisingly, this audio quiz seemed much harder than the past ones we've had. How do I know this? Well, we had many stabs from many readers, but only one person got it right this time. Congratulations to former Datsun 240Z owner Mike Henry in Santa Barbara, CA for his correct pick of audio sample 1. Here's what he wrote:
"My pick is the first clip... my reason for the choice is I used to own a 1973 240Z with a custom exhaust and it sounded just about like that, not quite that raucous though. Also 2 of the other cars have automatic transmissions and 4 of the others are too smooth on the overrun, without the telltale popping you get from a carburated car. They are all six cylinders though as far as I can tell."
Okay, so not all the cars were six cylinder engines, but still a very perceptive pick from someone who truly knows his 240Zs. Thanks Mike — your no-prize is on its way.
