Forza Motorsport 4: Week in Review 11/23

We’ve got a quick (and early) edition of the Week in Review this week, as Turn 10 shuts down during the latter half of the week for the Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S. For me, that means piling my family and two dogs into a rented Chevy Traverse and driving overnight from Seattle to San Francisco, a trip that should take around 13 hours, provided Thanksgiving traffic doesn’t turn out to be the hassle I’m fully expecting it to be. We’ll spend a few days in the Bay Area and then make the trek back to Washington on Saturday. Twenty six hours on the road during the busiest travel holiday of the year in the U.S., with two dogs, one child, and the wife… what could possibly go wrong?

Anyway, while I’ll be braving the “adventure” of holiday travel, I’m sure many of you who celebrate Thanksgiving (and even those of you who don’t) will be spending quality time with friends and family and probably some Forza 4 too. On Monday of this week we held our most recent Game With Turn 10 event and the turnout was strong, despite it starting at the odd time of 2 p.m. PDT. We’ll likely be holding another Game With Dev event next week but the plans are still up in the air because next week promises to be a big one.
 

Why, you ask? Well, next week will see the announcement of our next add-on pack for Forza 4. We’ll be announcing with a special partner, so keep your eyes peeled to our Twitter and Facebook feeds, as we’ll be updating you all the moment the announcement hits the Internet. Stay tuned!

Hyundai Secret Car Contest Ends This Week
Sunday, November 27 will be your last chance to enter our Hyundai Secret Cardesign challenge. If you’ve been following the Week in Review, you’re probably already familiar with this contest. The idea is to create your original race livery on a Hyundai Genesis Coupe using the Forza Motorsport 4 livery editor toolset. Next week, we’ll be picking the finalists for the contest and, soon after, fans will be able to vote on their favorite design, with the winning designer scoring a 2012 Hyundai Veloster!  There’s still a few more days to get your design finished and submitted, so check out the story for all the details.

Forum Big Shot Photo Contest 

In addition to our regularly scheduled weekly photo contest, we’re kicking off a forum-only photo contest this week. You’ll be taking on your friends and neighbors in the Forza forums this time around, which means the competitiveness and the skill level will be taken up a notch. In addition to unicorn prizes for the top winners, we’ll also have a special grand prize for the overall winner—a Ferrari cap signed by Formula One stars Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa!
