Keeping Our Community Clean
If you are checking this page then you have probably received the following message when attemting to access the Auction House or Car Gifting features on Forza Motorsport 2:
“This Xbox LIVE feature has encountered a problem, either the service is temporarily unavailable or your gamertag has been banned. Please check forzamotorsport.net for more information.”
If you have received this message then you have most likely been banned from the Auction House due to violations of the Terms of Service. Xbox LIVE is a service for all ages, and as a result innapropriate content must be removed and users punished. Currently we are banning users who have created an auction that contains any of the following design elements:
- Depictions of nudity and/or sexual themes and suggestions. This includes “censored” designs that are sold unlocked, or items that are deemed inappropriate.
- Depictions of racism, hate crimes, bigotry, and discrimination. This includes any references to the Nazi regime.
- Depictions of drugs and/or narcotics.
- Fraudulent depictions of the “Money Glitch”, used to trick others into purchasing it.
- Derogatory comments or remarks targeted at another user, person, or group.
- Offensive language and profanity.
Additionally we are banning users who post cars that offer Microsoft Points (via hidden layers and codes), as well as users who are selling Forza Motorsport 2 credits on eBay. If you auction is not appropriate for all ages then you should take active steps to remove these design elements from your auctions, and profile.
If you have committed any of these offenses then you have violated the Terms of Service of Xbox LIVE, and as a result have been banned from the auction and gifting features in Forza Motorsport 2. Currently we are banning users based on an increasing time scale. A first offense will result in a one week ban. Your second ban will last for a month and a third offense will result in a permanent ban from the Auction House.
Please note that all bans are enforced manually, and will stay in effect for their entire duration. If you have not committed any of these offenses then you are probably experiencing connection issues with Xbox LIVE, a problem that should resolve itself within a few days. Try the Auction House at a later time and you will most likely regain access.
If not, and you are 100% sure that you have not broken the rules, then send an e-mail to forzafb@microsoft.com with your gamertag and we will investigate our records. We will no longer be responding to e-mails unless the above issue is determined to be true, so please be patient when waiting for a response. If you have broken the rules please refrain from creating these auctions in order to avoid future bans.
